According to him, lead poisoning can lead to miscarriage, premature deliveries, and developmental issues in newborns.
He said the organization is alarming and calling for immediate action and attention to lead poisoning.
Mr. Wisdom Quansah added that they are putting in place measures to prevent the number of lead poisoning cases in Ghana and urged all women to be aware of lead poisoning.
Mrs. Patience Ami Mamattah, Ashaiman Municipal Director of Health, also called on everyone, everywhere, to play a key part in helping women and children survive in the Ashaiman municipality by creating awareness on the negative effects of lead most especially on the pregnant woman, the fetus and the young child.Clinton Akwasi Amoako/Peace FM News
