Deputy Communications Director of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Maame Afia Akoto has questioned Mr Albert Kwabena Dwumfour's integrity as the President of the Ghana Journalist Association (GJA).
According to her, the GJA's president's loud silence about media outrage after John Kumah's death in recent times is worrying.
She also asked in a Facebook post if Mr Albert Kwabena Dwumfour is “current” on national issues aside from his bias against politicians affiliated with the NPP.
“So is the #GJA President in Ghana currently? He can issue statement without having all his facts when it's a politician or political party huh?” She questioned.
The sudden death of the Deputy Finance Minister, Mr John Kumah has generated some cacophonies within the media spaces with verbal counter-attacks from known TV presenters.
The GJA is yet to release a statement to address the unprofessionalism act which netizens have described as 'shameful'.
Maame Afia Akoto who is equally worried about the development tagged the GJA president, Mr Albert Kwabena Dwumfour as a “hypocrite".
“What has he done to the negative press that some media houses and hosts have done in the past few days? Hypocrisy in the highest order. Please tag him for me.” Her post reads.
