CIMG Marks World Consumer Right Day to Raise Awareness of Consumer Rights

The Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana (CIMG) has stated they are poised to take steps to promote the rights of consumers in the country.
According to them, it is an significant step in establishing consumer protection and for consumers to be recognized as essential players in the market.
Speaking to Peace FM News ,the National President of the Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana, Dr. Kesser Tee said they have marked the World Consumer Rights Day in Ghana to raise awareness
of consumer rights amongst consumers, businesses, and the government.
He explained that the institute will spearhead the conversation and further intensify the subject matter at hand on the steps being considered to ensure consumer rights are respected.
He said that the Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana will lead the conversation and persist to amplify and champion the rights of consumers.
Dr. Tee made this known during a panel discussion organized by his outfit to celebrate World Consumer Rights Day in Accra.
The theme for the World Consumer Rights Day is “Fair and Responsible AI for Consumers”.
Dr. Kesser Tee then pleaded with government to pass the consumer protection law to safeguard the rights of every consumer.
Also present at the panel discussion on the World Consumer Right Day, the Deputy Director Tech and ethics Data protection commission, Maxwell Ababio advised consumers to report any kind of infringement on consumer's right.
