World Cup 2022: Open Up Your Game and Score More Goals - Fmr. Minister Tells Black Stars | General Sports

Former Minister for Central Region, Kwamena Duncan has commended the gallant Black Stars for winning their match against Korea Republic in the ongoing Qatar 2022 World Cup.
The Black Stars beat Korea Republic by 3 goals to 2, positioning the team in the group stage with a good chance of progressing to the round of 16.
The Stars will play against Uruguay on Friday, December 2 and victory is expected for Ghana.
The former Minister congratulated the players for showing bravery and perseverance to progress in the tournament.
He, however, shared a little problem he has with the team on the field of play.
To him, the Black Stars' style of play where all the players fall back into their 18-yard box in a defensive combat doesn't help as it gives the opponent a leeway to mount pressure on them.
He noted this was very vivid in their game with the Koreans.
He advised the team to go head-on against their opponents with the aim to score more goals.
"We won alright but it wasn't one that gave us the pleasure we sought for. With my lay knowledge of football, the style of play where we withdraw into our 18 yard area, it doesn't help. All those who opened up , they succeed. They win. Let us also open up; you open up, it is a risk but it is the risk that will bring you the success," he said while analyzing the team on Peace FM's morning show "Kokrokoo" on Wednesday.
