The Air Wives Organization (AWO) has held a street bazaar as part of the end-of-year activities.
Speaking to the media at the opening ceremony, President of AWO, Rebecca Darko said the bazaar seeks to bring to the Burma Camp and its surroundings, goods, and services and promote businesses of its members and Sister Associations (Army Wives and Navy Wives).
She said the army wives have received training on different life skills and have put them to work, creating businesses for them.
Patron of the AWO, Rosette Okyere Bekoe, said most of the displays at the bazaar are the handiworks of the army wives.
However, there are other businesses from outside who have joined to sell their products at discounted prices to the people of Burma Camp and its surroundings.
She urged the public to pass by and get all their needs for Xmas at the bazaar at reduced prices.
