First Annual Gaming and Lottery Awards Launched in Accra

The Gaming Commission of Ghana and the National Lottery Authority (NLA) has partner Syndicated Entertainment Solutions to launch the inaugural Ghana Gaming and Lottery Awards.
This event aims to recognize and celebrate excellence within Ghana's gaming and lottery sectors.
The awards will highlight achievements across various categories, promoting transparency, innovation, and responsible gaming practices within the industry.
This initiative aligns with both organizations' goals to enhance the regulatory environment and encourage growth in the sector.
The NLA, led by Samuel Awuku, continues to make significant strides, including their recent inclusion as an Observer Member of the European Lotteries Association. This membership is part of their broader tactic to collaborate internationally and combat illegal gambling practices Commission.
Further, the Gaming Commission has been actively enforcing regulations and advancing policies to ensure the industry's responsible growth. The Commission's focus on quality leadership and stringent oversight has contributed significantly to the sector's development in Ghana .
Manuella Frempomaa Ansong, the Director of Syndicate Entertainment Solution's said the objective is to encourage and assist all the stakeholders in the gaming and lottery industry to comply with applicable regulations and best international practices.
She said they firmly believe that the establishment of an annual gaming and lottery awards is significant step towards them achieving their objective and at the same time advantageous to the gaming and lottery industry.
We intend to organise the first gaming and lottery awards ceremony in September this year, she said.
The Commissioner for Gaming Commission, Peter Mireku emphasised the importance of encouraging operators to prioritise community development and responsible gaming practices.
He said Over the years they have been operating, and they’ve been supporting the communities that they operate in. And it’s about time that we need to give them a pat on their shoulder to say, to let them know they have done a very great job, or they are doing a very great job with that.
