2024 Election NAPO Will Surely Be Our Running Mate Nana Akomea Confirms

STC Chief Executive Officer, Nana Akomea has categorically confirmed that Energy Minister, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, popularly called "NAPO", will be the New Patriotic Party's Running Mate.

The choice of Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh to partner Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia into the December 7 polls became publicly known after the Vice President submitted the Minister's name to the President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

President Nana Addo is said to have accepted the candidate but there can only be an official announcement when the National Council gives the green light.

Speaking on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo" morning show, the host, Kwami Sefa Kayi asked Nana Akomea who is the Deputy Chairman of the Bawumia campaign team if he is certain that NAPO will be the Running Mate and he affirmatively answered "yeah".

He disclosed that the party will hold a National Executives meeting followed by National Council meeting on Thursday, July 2, 2024 to deliberate on the selection of Dr. Opoku Prempeh.

However, he was optimistic and absolutely cocksure that little to nothing will be done to alter Dr. Bawumia's choice.
