North West International School VP Government Should Support High Achieving Private Schools

The Vice Principal of the newly established North West International School, Ms. Millicent Djisenu, has called on the government to extend support to private educational institutions that are excelling in their efforts to complement the government's role in providing quality education.

According to Ms. Djisenu, while it is the government's responsibility to ensure accessible education for all, private schools that take on this test and excel in their mission deserve recognition and assistance.

Speaking at the commissioning of the North West International School, she emphasized the importance of government support in various forms. "There are many ways the government can help usmdash;by providing textbooks, furniture,
toiletries, or even posting Ghana Education Service (GES) teachers to private schools. Many teachers aspire to work in government schools, but if the government could extend this support to us, we could also offer competitive salaries to retain their passion for teaching," she said.

North West International School, an ultra-contemporary educational facility located in Ga West, Oshuman near Ga Odumase in Accra, is now open for student admissions for the upcoming academic year starting in September 2024. The school offers a blend of British and Ghana Education Service (GES) curricula, ensuring that students receive a well-rounded education that prepares them for success in any global setting.
