The idea to revamp Ghana's economy by implementing the 24-hour economy by the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has been defended by the Member of Parliament (MP) for Wa West.
Peter Lanchene Toobu suggests the Mahama-led administration if elected will have no room for ‘lazy’ individuals with the implementation of the much talked about 24-hour economic policy.
“Why are we sleeping when we can work 24 hours in Ghana?” He questioned in an interview with NEAT FM's morning show, 'Ghana Montie' when discussing the party's recent manifesto launch.
The NDC lawmaker reiterated his party's intention to recruit about ‘25,000 people in the security sector to protect people during our 24-hour economy policy’.
Adding that “We have to protect investors to help the 24/7 policy.”
