The leader of the New Force Movement, Nana Kwame Bediako (Cheddar), has promised to run the leanest government in history.
The aspiring president stated that his administration would operate the leanest government in both Ghana’s and Africa’s history.
To this end, he has proposed to appoint only 12 ministers if he is elected as president on December 7, 2024.
He dubbed his administration and ministerial appointments the ‘Apostolic Government.’ The ministries are Finance, Trade, Education, Agriculture, Foreign Affairs, Interior, Sports and Business Development, Health, Justice, Energy, Business and Employment, Defence, and Tourism.
Nana Kwame Bediako said his government would be the leanest and most effective in the history of African politics.
He explained that the Ministry of Finance would become an investor and developer for nation-building.
He added that his administration would help Ghanaians create jobs for themselves and become wealthy.
For the Interior Ministry, he disclosed that it would be responsible for securing the right salaries for all security agencies, including the police, immigration, fire service, and others.
He noted that with the right salaries, security personnel would not engage in corrupt activities.
He emphasized that if we want to minimize corruption, the first thing we need to consider is giving value back to our people. When they have value and the right salary, there is no way they will take bribes as a substitute for their salary.
