My Buy Ghana First Policy Will Promote Made In Ghana Goods To Boost Our Local Industry Bawumia

NPP flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has thrown more light on his new policy dubbed “Buy Ghana First” which he intends to implement if he becomes President in 2025.
Addressing community stakeholders at Okaikoi Central Constituency in Accra on Wednesday, Dr. Bawumia explained that the Buy Ghana First policy is aimed to garner support and patronage for the local industry and the private sector.
“I hear we are currently buying school uniforms from China. That will not happen under the ‘Buy Ghana First’ policyhellip;We will also ensure that furniture for schools are not imported from other countries."
"Whatever we can buy from Ghana, we will buy them here to help boost our local industry, the private and create more jobs for our people”, Dr. Bawumia stated.
Dr. Bawumia took his time to explain his vision and policies to the audience made up of the Clergy, Imams, traditional rulers, traders, community members among others.
Of the policies he explained included his flagship new tax regime which will see the granting of tax amnesty to businesses and an introduction of a flat rate, strengthening of the “good for oil” policy, introduction of solar energy to ease the cost of power, electric buses for public transport to ease cost of transportation, a new mining regime to empower small-scale miners and ensure responsible mining, training of one million youth in ICT for digital jobs locally and abroad, among other policies.
Dr. Bawumia also highlighted policies he championed as Vice President which, he said, are making significant impact on the country.
He, having demonstrated his commitment and competence as Vice President, urged Ghanaians to vote for him in the December general elections.
