Election 2024 Mahama To File Nomination Papers Today

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, will submit his nomination papers for the upcoming presidential elections today, September 9, at 2 pm.

He will be accompanied by his running mate, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang.

According to Joyce Bawah Mogtari, spokesperson for the Mahama campaign, “This is a momentous occasion for the NDC as we gear up to build the Ghana we want together. Our campaign focuses on jobs, accountability, development, and a better future for all Ghanaians”

Meanwhile, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), will also officially file his nomination today.

A statement issued by the NPP's General Secretary said Dr Bawumia will be accompanied by his running mate, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the Party’s National Chairman and General Secretary, the Majority Leader in Parliament, and other NPP leaders.

After filing his presidential nomination, Dr Bawumia would address party sympathizers and the general public at the Party’s National Headquarters at 9:00am.
