2024 Election Mike Oquaye Jnr Files Nomination To Contest Dome Kwabenya Parliamentary Seat

The New Patriotic Party’s Parliamentary Candidate for Dome Kwabenya, Mike Oquaye Jnr, officially filed his nomination forms to contest the parliamentary seat in the December general elections.
Arriving at the Electoral Commission office at Dome Kwabenya on Monday, September 9, 2024, Mike Oquaye Jnr, clad in a white shirt adorned with NPP colours, was accompanied by some enthusiastic supporters, party executives, and family members.
The atmosphere was electric, with drumming and dancing adding to the festive mood as they celebrated this crucial step in Oquaye Jnr’s political journey.
Inside the EC office, Oquaye Jnr submitted his nomination documents, which had been endorsed by party officials and community leaders.
His candidacy marks a potential return to frontline politics for the former High Commissioner of Ghana to India, who has built a strong reputation for his public service and commitment to development initiatives in the constituency.
After filing his paperwork, Mike Oquaye Jnr addressed the crowd gathered outside, sharing his vision for Dome Kwabenya.
“Today is not just about filing a nomination; it is about recommitting ourselves to the service of our people.
“I believe in the potential of Dome Kwabenya. Together, we can build better infrastructure, provide quality education, create jobs for our youth, and make this constituency a model of development in Ghana,” he said.
The occasion was met with enthusiastic applause and chants of support from the crowd, who said they believed he was a leader capable of driving alter.
Supporters also highlighted his track record in education, healthcare, and youth empowerment as reasons for their confidence in his leadership.
