Support EC to Secure a Credible Voters Register Ahead of Dec 7 Election WANEO to Political Parties and Stakeholders

The West Africa Network of Elections Observers (WANEO) in alliance with Defence Network for Democracy (DEFNED) and Affiliate Pan African Civil Society Organisations has called on all leaders of political parties and stakeholders of electoral processes to support the Electoral Commission to secure a credible Voters register ahead of the December general elections.
A press statement released on Thursday, October 3, 2024, by WANEO stated that, it is crucial for all political parties and stakeholders to persist to engage with the Electoral Commission in ensuring that the register to be sued for the upcoming elections remain credible and transparent.
WANEO further urged all Citizens and other relevant Actors in the overall Governance and Development Processes of Ghana and Africa, to as a matter of all inclusive stakeholders’ importance, positively support the EC.
WANEO added that can be done by complementing the constitutional mandate and operational initiatives of the Electoral Commission of Ghana in their collective stakeholders effort in securing a Credible Voters register across the length and breadth of Ghana ahead of the upcoming December 2024 Elections.
The 2024 elections is an chance for Ghana to consolidate her sustainable democracy, peace and security under the 1992 Constitution of the Republic of Ghana for the betterment of all citizens and Africa at large.Kobina Darlington/
