Vice Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh has asked his party members to engage in house-to-house campaign.
Speaking at a rally in Sikaman in Akrofroum constituency in Ashanti Region, he said every available vote is significant and needed to ensure that the ruling New Patriotic Party retains power to persist their splendid works.
In this regard, Dr. Opoku Prempeh, affectionately called “NAPO”, stressed the house-to-house campaign tactic will help the NPP’s electoral fortunes.
NAPO urged the party members and supporters to thoroughly explain Dr. Bawumia’s policies to the electorates to win their votes.
He said the residents in the Akrofuom constituency have “seen the tangible benefits and will vote overwhelmingly for Dr. Bawumia and the NPP in December to ensure further improvements in their livelihoods”.
NAPO also outlined the NPP's plans to ensure that the people of the constituency benefit directly from the mineral resources in their area.
These plans, he emphasized, involve responsible mining practices to safeguard the environment while providing economic benefits for the constituency.
This vision aligns with NPP’s broader tactic to regulate and promote environmentally sustainable small-scale mining across the country, he further noted.
NAPO, who commands a lot of respect and support in the NPP, especially in the Ashanti Region, said hard work and effective campaign tactic is needed to ensure victory.
“House to house campaign is key to ensure our victory. We are going door-to-door, room-to-room, office-to-office and market-to-market for votes.”
He also asked the constituents to re-elect Alex Blankson who is contesting the parliamentary seat on the NPP’s ticket.
