The much-anticipated campaign walk organized by the Movement for alter led by Mr. Alan Kyerematen failed to glitter after rented crowd left him and his executives in the cold.
As late as 10 am when the walk was supposed to reach its peak, only a handful of participants had arrived at the scene, making the organizers‘ faces turn gloomy.
Even more disturbing was the fact that the former Trade Minister was betrayed by the biggest opposition party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), which, according to reports, was alleged to have planned to mobilize crowd for him but the party could not keep to their promise.
When newsmen arrived to cover the walk, the aggrieved participants complained bitterly about poor arrangement of the event, accusing the organizers of failing to plan well.
Some also questioned the rationale for bringing such a walk to Kumasi which is known for their uncompromising loyalty to the ruling New Patriotic Party.
They further pointed accusing fingers at the Director of Operations of the Movement For alter, Hopeson Adorye, for creating the mess.
