The General Secretary of the largest opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, has expressed his utmost optimism over his party's broader chances of winning the Amenfi Central parliamentary elections.
Mr. Fifi Fiavi Kwetey's optimism comes after the incumbent Member of Parliament for Amenfi-Central, who had decided to contest in the race as an independent candidate, rescinded his decision, thereby withdrawing from the parliamentary race.
Posting on his official Facebook page on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, the NDC General Secretary said,
"Exciting news as both independent candidates have stepped down to support the NDC’s dynamic parliamentary candidate, Madam Joana Gyan Cudjoe."
"Now, it’s a clear face-off between Madam Joana Gyan Cudjoe and the NPP candidate.
Victory is within our grasp, and together, we will deliver Amenfi Central for the NDC on December 7."
