Former president and presidential candidate of the largest opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has chided the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia’s government for their inability to transform the Western region but has resorted to formulating slogans.
Former President John Dramani Mahama, who appeared unhappy on the state of development in the Western region wrote on his Facebook wall on Tuesday, 26th November, 2024, that the next NDC government will take special interest in improving the living conditions of farmers across the country.
John Mahama further accused the government of criminally supervising the destruction of the economy.
"The hardships we are facing, the rising prices of food, the lack of development in our communities, among others is because of the criminal supervision of the destruction of our economy by Nana Akufo-Addo and Mahamadu Bawumia.
“During an interaction with members of the Western Regional House of Chiefs in Sekondi, I listened to their expressions of frustration by the traditional leaders about the lack of development over the last eight years,” he said.
He added, "I am appalled at the state of roads in the twin city, and other constituencies in the region not to talk about the stagnation of development."
He added, "This is not the Western Region I’ve been visiting. Our agenda to Reset Ghana towards Building the Ghana we want will benefit the region and lift up the state of infrastructure here.”
