Dr. Benjamin Otchere-Ankrah has scolded those who have rained or keep raining insults on former President John Agyekum Kufour.
It could be recalled that a member of the largest opposition National Democratic Congress' communications team, Dela Edem, verbally attacked Mr. Kufour attributing his current health condition to what he termed as his "evil deeds".
“We all saw your bad governance, so don’t think we have forgotten. Your evil deeds have now kept you in the Wheelchair,” he said.
Contributing to 'Kokrokoo' morning show aired on Peace FM, Dr. Otchere-Ankrah, a Governance Lecturer at the Central University, wondered how any person could slight the Statesman.
He advised Ghanaians, especially the youth, to show respect to the elderly.
With regard to what is going on concerning Kufour, the second President under the 4th Republic, Dr. Otchere-Ankrah described the Ex-President as an unparalleled asset to the nation.
"Kufour is a national asset . . . Kufour is an institution that must be studied," he said, urging the public to watch their tongue.
