The National Communications Authority (NCA) has granted approval for the transfer of the 70% majority shares in Vodafone Ghana to Telecel group.
In a press release on Monday the NCA says this is subject to concessions made by Telecel group and representations it made to the NCA.
According to the Authority, this is pursuant to the evaluation of the revised proposal from the Telecel Group.
The Vodafone Ghana shares are held by Vodafone International Holdings BV
In January last year, the NCA received an application from Vodafone Ghana for the transfer of 70% of its majority shares held by its mother company to Telecel.
