Barcelona hope to re-sign Lionel Messi on lower wages than he was on when he left the club almost two years ago, according to Sport.
They are drawing up a two-year contract worth a quarter of the last salary which was around €100m gross in the 2020-21 season. The deal will allow Messi to leave after one season with a pay-check of €25m gross.
His net salary will be €13m, which will be around the pay package of Robert Lewandowski.
