Joy Verse, born as Ishmael Tetteh, is a rising Afrobeat star from Labadi and embodies perseverance and passion.
Despite financial hurdles hindering him from completing his Senior High School education at Accra Academy, Joy Verse has never abandoned his dreams.
His musical journey began early when he discovered his talent for songwriting and performing in his fourth year of elementary school.
After completing Junior High School, he started collaborating with a local sound producer in Teshie.
Even though these early tracks never saw the light of day, they were instrumental in shaping his musical journey.
Determined to make his mark, Joy Verse became the lead vocalist for an acoustic band that regularly performed at Accra's Zen Garden bar and lounge.
He also created a new type of freestyle music on Labadi Beach, showcasing his innovative spirit.
His efforts caught the attention of his cousin Kilson, a music producer at Highly Spiritual, one of Ghana's leading record labels.
Recognizing Joy Verse's talent and drive, Kilson recommended him to Kaywa which led to his signing with Highly Spiritual Music.
Joy Verse's journey testifies to his determination to succeed against all odds.
His first single 'stressed', released under Highly Spiritual Music, is just the beginning of his promising career.
Despite the challenges he has faced, Joy Verse continues to strive for success, proving that passion and perseverance can overcome even the most formidable obstacles.
